Careers
Build the financial layer of the agent economy.
Mints is early — a small team, a focused problem, and a real opportunity to build infrastructure that will matter. If you care about financial systems, cryptography, and autonomous agents, we'd like to meet you.
What we're building
Financial infrastructure for autonomous agents.
Every autonomous agent that handles real economic activity needs the primitives Mints provides: self-custody accounts, instant payments, settlement, custody, and an identity that traces to a human root. This is unglamorous, load-bearing infrastructure — and it has to be right.
We are pre-GA and deliberately small. The team is close to the code, close to early customers, and close to the design decisions that will shape the platform for years. If that sounds like where you do your best work, read on.
What we value
The qualities that matter here.
We don't have a long list of cultural values. These six describe how we actually work.
Craft
Financial infrastructure has to be right. We take the time to design things well, write them clearly, and verify them thoroughly. Shipping fast is less important than shipping something that holds.
Security as a first principle
Security is not a checklist at the end of a sprint. Every design decision starts with what an adversary would do and works backward. We write threat models, not just tests.
Restraint
We say no more than yes. Every feature we don't ship is one fewer surface to secure, maintain, and explain. The best financial infrastructure is the infrastructure you don't notice.
Honesty
We are early. We tell customers what Mints can do now and what is on the roadmap. We tell candidates what working here actually looks like. No theater.
Depth over breadth
We would rather understand one thing completely than gesture at ten. The agent economy is new — the problems require original thinking, not pattern-matched solutions.
Accountability through lineage
We believe autonomous systems need human accountability. That belief shapes the product and the team. We take responsibility for what we build.
How we work
Small, focused, and close to the problem.
There are no open roles listed here — we are too early to know exactly what shape the next hire takes. What we can tell you is the kind of work we do.
Engineering
Rust systems programming, TypeScript APIs, distributed ledger design, cryptographic protocol implementation, developer tooling. We work close to the metal and expect our abstractions to hold under adversarial load.
Design
Financial interfaces for two audiences: agents reading API responses and humans reading dashboards. The design language is already established — the challenge is making complex state legible at a glance.
Go-to-market
Developer relations, technical writing, partnerships with agent framework builders. The agent economy is early and we are building the category alongside our customers.
Remote and async
We work where the work gets done.
We do not have a headquarters. We coordinate asynchronously with clear writing and regular synchronous time when decisions require it. Strong written communication is a prerequisite.
We compensate fairly and are transparent about equity from the first conversation. We don't have a benefits package to list yet — compensation is negotiated individually and we will tell you what we can offer before you have to ask.
Interested? Tell us what you're working on.
We don't have a formal application process. Send us a message at the contact page and tell us what you build and why you care about agent-native finance.
